What a pleasure it was to walk out of the house today and feel a bit of chill in the air. After a long, hot summer – the cool air was re-energizing.
As a speech coach, the first signs of fall reminds me of the importance of the temperature in the room you are speaking. Even the greatest presentation loses steam in a room that’s either too warm. And if it’s too cold, people may not lose attention – but they will be uncomfortable.
From the Green Room: Arrive early and make sure the thermostat is set properly. This is a simple (but often overlooked) strategy to set yourself up for success.
